TKT YL COURSE IS A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE DESIGNED FOR:

- new teachers of English at primary level (aged 6-12)

HOW IS THE COURSE ORGANISED?
PART-TIME EDITION (autumn and spring courses) = you take part in 3 weekends of workshops in Warsaw
Training day: 10:30 – 16:50
Venue: Warsaw, Al.Niepodległości 217/8
Group size: 6-12 trainees per group
BEFORE THE COURSE
10-20 hours of self-study practice: online
DURING THE COURSE:
3 weekends (=6 training days in Warsaw) 10:30 – 16:50
5 training hours a day (150 minutes * lunchtime break * 150 minutes)
30 hours of inspiring hands-on workshops to design activities and resources for young learners
6 hours of self-study practice: prepping for TKT YL exam
12 hours of designing a lesson plan project (individual or group assignment)
AFTER THE COURSE
10-20 hours of self-study practice: online
80-minute TKT YL exam session [optional]

Before the course: 14-21 days before the course starts you get access to online resources – study from home before the course

After the course:
- finish off the outstanding online course materials
- take the TKT YL exam (exam session at the Accredited Cambridge English Exam Centre Lang – Al. Niepodległości 217/8, Warsaw )

WHAT CERTIFICATES DO I OBTAIN?
Certificate of Course Completion – issued by Ośrodek Doskonalenia Nauczycieli Lang – is recognised by Kuratorium Oświaty.
In order to obtain the certificate, the following conditions apply:
- course attendance: 90%
- online assignments: pass
- lesson design assignment: pass
TKT YL test is a Cambridge English Teaching Qualification.
- Taking the exam is optional.
- TKT YL course participants are eligible for a discount exam fee at 220 PLN.
- The test consists of 80 multiple choice questions.
- The test takes 80 minutes.
- It is a paper-based exam.
- Cambridge certificates with the results (Bands 1-4) can be obtained in 30-60 days.
